5 Fruits and Veggies to Grow for your Dog

Fresh fruits and veggies make healthy, cost-effective snacks for dogs, especially if you already have an at-home garden! We've compiled a list of the top 5 healthy and safe fruits and veggies you can grow at home for your pup to enjoy. Read below and might find your dog's new fave from the garden :)

1. Carrots

A popular treat for their crunchy-ness, carrots are packed with beta-carotene and vitamin K.

2. Sweet potatoes

Excellent for digestion, simple steamed sweet potatoes make a great topper for your dog's meal and are packed with healthy fiber and vitamins. 

3. Sugar snap peas

Rich in dietary fiber and thiamin, these make great snacks right off the vine!

4. Zucchini 

Low-calorie, but high in certain nutrients like manganese and vitamin C, zucchini makes a great dog snack, raw or cooked. 

5. Strawberries

Sweet and juicy right from the garden, strawberries are great dog snack packed with vitamin C and folate (vitamin B9).
