Jack Daniel's to Discontinue Iditarod Sponsorship

Thanks to a PETA campaign involving protests outside the headquarters of Jack Daniel's and emails from more than 186,000 supporters, the whiskey company has confirmed that it will no longer sponsor the Iditarod.

After 15 years of sponsoring the race, Jack Daniel's now joins Guggenheim Partners, State Farm, Wells Fargo, and others in ending its support.

"The Iditarod has caused the deaths of more than 150 dogs since it began, and countless others have died while chained up in the cold or been killed simply because they weren’t fast or fit enough to race," says PETA.

Learn more about the cruel practices of the Iditarod here and urge companies like Coca-Cola to end their sponsorship of the race.
