About Animal Place, one of the oldest animal sanctuaries
Anyone who has visited Animal Place, one of the largest and oldest animal sanctuaries in the nation, would agree it’s a special place. The nonprofit is home to more than 430 residents including cows, pigs, chickens, and turkeys. And they host advocacy and educational programs in hopes to inspire more compassionate living.💛
Our late founder, Dave Middlesworth, was so moved by the work at Animal Place that he and his wife, Linda, were regular attendees of their conferences. You’d see them proudly passing out dog food samples and sharing their personal experiences as ethical vegans who started v-dog with a goal to save animals. (Learn more about our v-dog story).
After Dave’s tragic passing in 2014, Animal Place even named one of their pastures “Middlesworth Meadow” in honor of his support.
At v-dog, we’re continually in awe of Animal Place and feel so grateful to stay connected through events like the Faces Summit.
