MFA's Conscious Eating Program Brings Vegan Meals to Schools

Mercy For Animals’ Conscious Eating program secured nine policy commitments in schools, universities, and social service agencies in Brazil and Mexico in the past year. The program will serve about 26 million vegan meals per year that would have otherwise contained meat and other animal products. That's about half a million animals' lives saved every year!

The Conscious Eating program is also raising awareness about the benefits of a vegan diet,  educating the public through media coverage and pro-veg infographics displayed at participating institutions.

"By simply reducing meat, dairy, and egg consumption at public institutions, these policy commitments are equivalent to getting 20,000 people to go completely vegan and will help prevent suffering for hundreds of thousands of farmed animals," says Joe Loria of MFA.
