Party Animal Dog Food Recalled for Pentobarbital Contamination

Yet another pet product recall has been issued, this time for Party Animal's Cocolicious canned food - an organic meat-based diet for dogs. Two lots tested positive for pentobarbital, a drug used to euthanize cats, dogs, and horses:

  • 13-ounce-can Cocolicious Beef & Turkey dog food (Lot #0136E15204 04, best by July 2019)
  • 13-ounce-can Cocolicious Chicken & Beef dog food (Lot #0134E15 237 13, best by August 2019)

Party Animal touts the health-conscious nature of its products, emphasizing simple and organic ingredients. This year, the pet food industry has seen it's share of pentobarbital contamination - Read information about other recent recalls on meat-based dog food here.
