Uber Pet Launches in Select Cities

October 11, 2019

A new feature called Uber Pet allows customers to bring their furry friends along for the ride. Available in select cities starting this month, this service aims to reduce driver cancellations due to surprise pets.

Uber Pet will be offered among the list of options before selecting a ride and includes a surcharge of $3 to $5. Drivers who opt into the program are guaranteed to receive a "significant portion" of the surcharge. Service animals are still permitted to ride at no additional cost.

If you're in one of the following cities, check out Uber Pet starting October 16th: Austin, Denver, Nashville, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Tampa Bay.
