Just completed the transition period with my German Shepherd. He struggled with meat based kibble. Every few weeks he would throw it up and the kibble pieces were still whole. We’ve tried every type of meat kibble you can find but nothing works (the current one was the best). I’ve been wanting to switch him over and try vegan kibble for a while and we finally did it. He hasn’t vomited once, and he has more energy throughout the day. His bowel movements seem healthier since the start of the transition.
My rescue dog has been on only 1 type of dog food for the past 3 years. I made the switch to Vegan and decided my dog Braddock can too. While following the v-dog food transition guidelines it only took 4 days for my dog to separate his old food from the new v-dog food. He stopped eating his old dog food entirely and now only eats v-dog. I could not be happier I made the switch.
My pitbull really loves this food. I purchased it because she has allergies and we think some of those allergies are food related. Our vet mentioned that it's the animal proteins that could be the cause and had recommended vegetarian blend HA food. The largest bag of the HA food (25lb) was $100! We would have to have her on this for at least 12 weeks. I found V-Dog food (vegan) and I can get a larger bag for a lot less. I transitioned her over 8 days and she hasn't had issues with it. We will continue her on this food!
I love Vdog and so do my dogs. They have been thriving on it for years now. One of my dogs started to have seizures and we couldn’t figure out why. Ended up it was from her food. (Rachel Rays to be exact.) since being on Vdog she has had no seizures and both their bowel movements have been so much better. My 16 year old dog has the energy of a puppy! No one believes his age or that he has been a vegan dog going on 5 years! thanks Vdog!
