Which carrier delivers my v-dog package?

We use UPS to ship all products to the shipping address associated with your order or subscription. UPS will provide tracking updates once your order ships from our warehouse. If you have specific delivery instructions for your delivery address, you can visit UPS My Choice and set up an account to make your requests.

What if my shipment is delayed?

In order to avoid lapses in your supply of kibble or happy harvest at home, we recommend you plan to place your order so that your bag arrives 1 to 2 weeks before you will run out of dog food. Orders typically deliver within 2 to 6 business days once shipped. Orders that are set to process over the weekend will ship out next business day.

Can I cancel my order once it has shipped?

Our order fulfillment system is automated to ensure your dog's food arrives as quickly as possible without delay! Because of our optimized fulfillment and speedy shipping, we cannot accommodate order cancellations after an order has processed.

Formulation & production

Where are v-dog products made?

We make all our products in the United States using 100% plant-based ingredients.

Does v-dog have a veterinary nutritionist on staff? Who formulates v-dog's products?

V-dog works with PhD pet food experts and veterinary nutritionists to formulate new products and ensure that our existing products comply with all AAFCO standards for canine nutrition. As a small company, we do not have a nutritionist on staff, but we continuously consult with many nutritionists on product formulation and also work closely with a team of veterinarians who have extensive experience with plant-based diets for dogs.

Does v-dog's kind kibble and happy harvest soft food meet all AAFCO standards? Does v-dog use AAFCO feeding trials?

Our kind kibble meets AAFCO standards for adult dogs, and our happy harvest cans meet AAFCO standards for both adult dogs and puppies. It's a complete puppy food option too. We're a vegan company, so we don't engage in animal testing. To meet AAFCO standards, we use nutrient analysis to show our products' composition, shelf life, and nutrition. We've been making and selling our kibble since 2005, and it's been a hit with tens of thousands of dogs.

What quality measures does v-dog use to ensure consistency and quality? Have v-dog products ever been recalled?

All our products undergo a 48-hour hold post-production, during which time they are tested for quality, safety, and nutrition. For added safety, cans of happy harvest also undergo extensive observation after nutrient testing is completed. V-dog has never had any recalls since going into business in 2005.
