"I've been vegan for 3 years now & was always concerned about what my non-human family was putting in their body. After extensive research on the pet food industry, I had to find something different for them. I've been feeding V-Dog mini bites kibble for over a year now & it's a big hit for both Rey (dachshund/chihuahua/terrier mix) and Sam (yorkshire terrier). Rey usually has no problem with standard size kibble, but Sam is a little smaller and the mini kibble are his favorite. Since switching to V-Dog, Rey has not had any allergy flare ups, her GI system is functioning perfectly and her hair has never looked better. Sam was picky with food, emaciated & his hair was brittle when we first rescued him last year. He's since put on the appropriate amount of weight & his hair looks amazing. "As a vegan family it wasn’t until recently that we began to look into a vegan diet for our dog. I actually came across VDog food on a nutrition podcast that I listen to frequently. 

We were really pleased with the quality and sustainability of VDog but transitioning to it was did bring us some hesitations. We have changed dog foods a number of times and are familiar with how the process goes. When transitioning to VDog our pup had softer than normal stool for nearly two or three weeks. We were questioning our decision but continued to include her old food with VDog. After a solid three weeks on VDog her stool finally returned to normal and we are so glad we didn’t give up on the transition albeit a bit longer than anything we’ve ever done before. 

I just want to provide a testimonial of our transition to ensure other pet owners who may be experiencing the same thing that VDog is well worth the slow transition and it may take longer for their pups digestive system to adjust to such a new variety of foods just like us humans.

Hi! I ordered a 20 pound bag on Monday and it came today!! (Thursday) Crazy fast shipping! I immediately checked if my dogs like it so I gave them a handful. They LOVED it!! They think it's a treat.

I mixed v-dog with Blue Buffalo they have been eating and they pick out the V-dog and leave the Blue in the bowl lol. Even my kitten who thinks vegetables are not food ate a couple pieces. On the picture you can see Itchy in front and Scratchy on the right.

And it was a fancy brand but she was not into it at all. But with V-Dog, she is always taking me to her food bowl and she cannot wait for her next meal! "My husband and I are so in awe of how amazing this food is for our little puppy. We have a 13 week old puppy and we’ve been giving him Vdog since the day he came home, when he was 9 weeks old. Since the first moment he absolutely loved the food, we would always have to refill his bowl because he was done eating within a matter of minutes and always asking for more. We bought the 4 pack of food, and it didn’t even lasted us a month!!!! He was devouring a bag a week, and he is just a puppy.

Last week we ran out of food (because again, I didn’t think he was going to eat a bag + a week) totally my fault. We email you guys to see if you could speed the shipping, instead you were kind enough to send some recipes my way to try to give my puppy something while we waited. He ate a little but he was clearly not in love with them as he is with vdog. In desperation we proceeded to go to our nearest pet store and we got some Halo vegan food for him. He took a couple of bites that day but he didn’t eat much, no matter what we did!! We even tried to mix it with his favorite treats but he would just eat around it. It was 2-3 days of waiting for vdog and my little puppy didn’t want to eat anything else, we honestly tried everything. Finally yesterday his food arrived and he is back to his normal self devouring his food. We feed him 3 times a day, sometimes he ends up eating 5 cups of food a day!!

It was honestly mind-blowing to see how much he loves vdog and how good it is for him. Since he is a puppy we do bulk up his food with coconut oil for the healthy fats and some steamed sweet potatoes.
