Feeding instructions
Every dog is unique, so their appetites can vary depending on their age, lifestyle, and activity level. This is only a guide, after all - no one knows your pooch better than you!
We recommend 2 daily feedings. If your dog prefers, you can add a little water to soften the kibble. Be sure to always have a clean bowl of water available.

Up to 10 lbs = Up to 1 cup
10 - 20 lbs = 1 - 1 1/2 cup
20 - 30 lbs = 1 1/2 - 2 cup
30 - 40 lbs = 2 - 2 1/2 cup
40 - 60 lbs = 2 1/2 - 3 1/3 cup
60 - 80 lbs = 3 1/3 - 4 1/4 cup
80 - 100 lbs = 4 1/4 - 5+

Transition Instructions

Yes! V-dog kind kibble was formulated by canine nutritionists and experienced veterinarians to meet all AAFCO standards. Our complete and balanced vegan kibble includes powerful superfood ingredients, added taurine, plant-based DHA, and essential omega 3 and 6 fatty acids.
How many cups of kibble are in a bag?
Our 24LB bag of kind kibble contains approximately 90 cups of food.
Can dogs thrive on a plant-based diet?
Absolutely! Thanks to ten thousand years of evolution alongside humankind, dogs are now physiologically omnivores. Our products are 100% plant-based and we have seen tens of thousands of pups thrive on them over the past 16 years.
How many calories are in a cup?
Our regular-sized kibble is 346 kcal/cup, and our mini bites kibble is 363 kcal/cup. (kcal = Calories.) The two sizes are the same formula, but the mini bites pack a little more densely into a cup.
How big are the kibble pieces?
Our regular size kibble is approximately ½” in diameter.
What are cases?
Cases contain multiples of the same product at a significant discount. For example, your kibble case for large dogs would contain 2 x 24 LB bags, and your case of mini breath bones would contain 12 single bags of mini breath bones.
What's the benefit of ordering a case?
Ordering a little more saves us a little on shipping, so we simply pass along those saving to our customers. So if you're ordering for more than one dog or you're planning ahead, you can save 5% (or 15% with a subscription) on a kibble case of 24LB bags, more than 25% (or more than 35% with a subscription) on a mini bites case of 4.5LB bags, and 10% (or 20% with a subscription) on cases of various treats.

Absolutely. In fact, when you add cases to your subscription, you get an additional discount. If your case of kibble is 5% off and you add it to your 10% off subscription, you're really getting 15% off along with free shipping to your door.

My goldendoodle is allergic to beef, chicken, and pork. I know because she scratches constantly and chews her feet if she eats one of these things. She won't eat dog food containing fish. I tried giving her Vdog and almost all of her scratching and chewing stopped. I know if she sneaks the cats' food because she licks and scratches again. I highly recommend Vdog to anyone who has a dog with food allergies. It has made our dog's life so much better!
Excellent food. Healthy and they find it tasty. The mini pieces are VERY mini. My 16 pounder has trouble picking them up and keeping them in his mouth. I would get the bigger pieces even for a small dog.
Excellent food. The dog loves it. The cat steals it. The dog is healthy and happy. My only complaint is that the small bag of mini pieces is resealable, but for some reason the enormous bag of Kind Kibble is not. A bag that size ought to be usable for a while. Also, there must’ve been a tiny hole in the package because some spilled out in shipping.
My last dog, Nikita, lived a healthy 17 years, at least seven of which were with V-dog! Her vet was always in awe of her blood work… healed skin and gi issues that were previously unresolved.
My new dog Atticus, is healing from a previous life as a bait dog.. all sorts of skin and gi issues… is doing so well!! Gaining weight and looking great!
Thrilled with the quality of food…
So far, my Shiba loves it. He is allergic to all meat proteins. It is too soon to determine if it’s helping with his allergies or not.
In January 2021 I started v-dog.,the first week I could see the difference, after 15 days much better and then all the problems she had disappeared…,I was struggling to find her right foot for five years..,since we adopted her the foster told us that she has sensitive stomach.., She is 9 years older and be came a puppy when she sees the dental bone and all of them! I have been feeding all my dogs V-Dog food for over 10 years. Labs, Doxies, and now Yorkies. They all love it. They thrive and have soo much energy. Their coats are soo soft and shiny. Their teeth are so white. I will never stop using VDog! ♥️
I switched to V-Dog from another brand recently. My dog loves this food so much. He wasn't eating the other brand until he had to. But with V-Dog, he eats is all up as soon as I give it to him.
