"Beets Mode" Smoothie for Dogs [RECIPE]
This powerhouse smoothie is a pup-approved variation on v-dog president Darren's classic "Beets Mode" smoothie. Share this with your fur baby for a healthy, hydrating nutrient boost!
Ingredients
[Yields 1 large smoothie, perfect for splitting with your pup!]
- 1 chopped beet
- 1 chopped carrot
- 3 stalks of kale
- 1 peeled and chopped apple
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Spring water (enough to cover all of the ingredients)
Method
Throw all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into your pup's bowl for a refreshing treat, or mix it in with their v-dog kibble. (We recommend going outside to avoid any beet juice stains on the carpet!)
Variation: Add your smoothie to ice trays and freeze to make "pupsicles." Yum!
